Liquid Cooling Quick Disconnect Couplings (QDs)

Download Liquid Cooling's New Product Catalog

CPC’s purpose-built Everis® liquid cooling quick disconnect couplings — also known as QDs or QCs — are robust and reliable. They’re a critical component in cooling loops for thermal management of hot electronics, capable of meeting your industry’s and application’s reliability and efficiency requirements.

When fluids are in close proximity to electronic systems, reliable performance and connection assurance is required. All of CPC’s liquid cooling quick disconnects are built with those quality needs in mind, from the Everis LQ8 to the Everis PLQ2.

    Thermal Management Requirements

Working with thermal engineers around the world, CPC understands the fluid management requirements for liquid cooling QDs. Everis products are exclusively engineered for the unique rigors of liquid cooling  across a variety of industries and applications. Everis products deliver:

    • Optimal size-to-flow ratios with valves that minimize flow restriction
    • Non-spill dry disconnect capabilities that reduce spillage to near zero
    • Resilient, redundant, multi-lobed leak-free seals
    • Material options compatible with coolants
    • User-friendly designs like integrated thumb latches

How Do CPC’s Liquid Cooling Couplings Work?

A CPC liquid cooling quick disconnect coupling (QD) consists of two parts: a coupling body and a coupling insert that when connected create a fluid flow path. Each coupling has a valve architecture with multi-lobed seals to provide redundant protection against leakage over extended periods of time. This unique valve design has zero seal friction in the connected state, which allows these liquid cooling quick disconnects to close quickly and reliably upon disconnection. Upon disconnection, the integrated non-spill shutoff valves automatically stop flow, reducing spills or pressure loss during disconnection. The non-spill (or dry break) design of CPC Everis connectors allows disconnection under pressure without drips.
